Alan Landers Has Passed Away

I spoke to Alan on Wednesday and he was not good; I tried to reach him numerous times on Thursday and Friday but no response. Last night I had a significant premonition that he died, called him this morning, and then got this note from Olivia, a friend of his whom you might know. WE JUST GOT A CALL FROM ALAN’S NIECE, ROBIN, THAT ALAN PASSED AWAY ON FRIDAY NIGHT IN HIS SLEEP…
HE WAS GOING INTO HIS 4TH ROUND OF CHEMO AND RADIATION ON MONDAY, BUT NEVER MADE IT. I FEEL SO SAD, I CAN’T EXPLAIN IT.
I WILL WRITE YOU MORE LATER.

Just seen the post on Alan’s website. I am deeply sadden by Alan’s passing. he has fought thru so much and yet has lost his battle.
I truly feel blessed to have met him and have gotten to work with him on several occasions. He will leave a lasting impression on all who met him.
We all have a very special angel in heaven watching over us.
To his niece that he thought the world of, you will be in our prayers in Ohio
Along with immense sadness I feel relief that Alan will no longer suffer. May he be always with angels and forever in our hearts.

I am the neice of Allan Levine, aka Alan Landers…as you all know my Uncle will be forever remembered for all of his passion for life and his fight to win his court case with RJR. I have been blessed to have met Alan when he came to Jacksonville in 1998 during my trial against Big Tobacco. Listening to his life story during lunch and having him give me moral support me on this mission on behalf of my father meant so much. During the years, we kept in touch and I prayed that he stay strong . I look at the photo that we took and the smile and determination on his face that he is a fighter. The last conversation we had was that I would be there to support him as well during his up coming trial in Palm Beach . He will be greatly missed and I know in my heart that he is in a better place and the mission against tobacco will continue.He will forever be my special friend.

Today I feel very sadden with the news that Alan Landers left this world. A very talented man, an even greater acting teacher. I always admired you Alan, and you will always be important in my life. What I learned from you, I will carried with me always. Your student and friend.
